LOL, why did that remark make me laugh so hard? It's like perfectly accurate, yet an understatement. Anything associated with J.Lo at the peak of her career was super-irritating. Boy, she really shoved her minimally-talented self down our throats, didn't she?

I recall how excited some people were when the Billboard top ten were all hip-hop/R&B for the first time in Billboard history. But like 5 of the 10 songs were some gawd-awful combination of J.Lo/Ja Rule/Ashanti with maybe a dash of Christina Milian. . . so basically, one of the worst hip-hop acts ever combined with 3 of the weakest, most generic "vocalists" available. As much as I love hip-hop/R&B, that was not a high point in either genre.

Hey Bizzarelife, spin is a GREAT cardio class and gives you great legs. However, if you have knee problems you will have to modify some of the movements since they can be kinda brutal on them.

Oh, I only know about the JLo thing because it happened here in Vancouver and the film industry here (where I have friends and relatives who work...one of my close friends is a set person and another works as a "runner" to some of the female talent) is a small and gossipy circle.
That's also how I knew about Johnny Depp's alkie ways for the past 8-9 years. He always needed people to carry him around. That's also how I know that Lainey is usually full of shit...she is based outta here. lol

I'm not sure about this hearing about something time and time again and there must be a grain of truth to it. It's logical, of course. But, I think these rumours can seriously just take on a life of their own. I dunno...I've heard gossip about myself and I just have NO idea where on earth it may have came from. lol.

I agree Daniee, hadn't heard about the JLo part. I dunno, I read lots of stuff, most of it I take with a huge grain of salt.

He's very charming, handsome and seems kind, but I base those opinions on what I've seen of him *acting*, I don't know the real person, so I make no judgements.

I do, however, have to take note when story after story appears (regarding anyone really) over and over. Seems there must be some truth in there somewhere.

Affleck cheated on JLo, so people assume the same with his wife, but there is no evidence of it and they seem to lead a pretty normal life. Apparantly there was some flirting on Rebecca Hall's part during filming in Boston and it got all exagerrated in the media. They are both involved in charitable causes along with Damon but do not flaunt it all over the place. I think he's a nice, smart guy and he hasn't done anything to convince me otherwise.

Coco looks better from this angle. I don't mind her, she seems sweet, but I don't see why people think she's hot.

And Jessica Simpson brought this on herself by being greedy. She thought losing the weight would get her the fame she so badly craves. People wouldn't be so focused on her weight if she didn't make a big deal about it in the first place.

I think the Affleck hate is carried over from his time with Jlo. That was a highly annoying time. They started dressing alike and I have a special sort of hate reserved for couples who coordinate their outfits and are not going to prom, their own wedding, or a theme party of some kind.

But he seems pretty like an okay guy and he seems like in real life he'd be pretty charming and decent.

you know what. I'm finding myself not really caring if Jessica Simpson is really fat or not. I think she fell into non-celebrity status a long time ago, and if she falls into the ranks of everyday women, weight issues and all, let her... As long as SHE knows, she is pretty much a talentless nobody, and she should just get on with the business of raising her kid.

On another note -- Ben Affleck is about as appealing as dick cheese. He's never been hot.

I think the biggest thing most women on gossip sites have against him, are the rumors that he's cheated on his wife. Whether they are true or not, of course we don't know.

Hekki - not every breast feeding mom loses the weight easy or have it melt off. Even WITH dieting while nursing.

I think a pound a week is fine and maybe even a bit slow. I remember losing too much weight at once while BFing my first, and I was dizzy and weak and afraid I'd drop the baby. You can unload a bunch of calories on the baby without even trying, and if you DO try to lose weight it'll melt off.

But let's not put any MORE pressure on new moms. It's hard enough.

I don't think that Dumbo Simpson is fat, chubby but not fat. However she disgusts me, she exploited her pregnancy, ate junk food which isn't healthy for her baby, there is no reason to gain so much weight during a pregnancy if you're eating healthy which you should because it's not about you but your baby. If you gain 10-20 pounds it's not a big deal. Women of older generations didn't get fat when they were pregnant that's a modern day epidemic because of all the terrible toxins that people call food and all the prescription drugs that women are taking. I'm sure there are genetic exceptions but most women don't fall in that category even though they use it as an excuse.

I know some of you are going tell me stories of how you gained 80 pounds and you had nothing to do with it...it's all hormones...nonsense.

Frankly it would be nice if people stopped reproducing most of you are rotten parents anyway. These monsters that I see everywhere with self-absorbed parents are not beautiful heavenly innocent children but materialistic frighting monsters.

I'm all for losing weight at a healthy pace, but 1 pound a week doesn't seem like tryng at all. She's definitely more than capable to lose 2 or 3 a week. Still I give her credit for not falling into the pressure of rapid weight loss.

Spark People is really good. I do all of my working out at home (& outdoors) mainly due to youtube. You can follow an hour pilates class for free! I don't pay for a damn thing except going to a class or something from time to time. Ove the years, I have gotten myself second hand fitness equipment. I'm really of the doing things on the cheap camp. But, of course, I do understand that some people need the coaching aspect of some of these programs.

WOW! I did not know about the Pilates class. That is something I may look up. They do give one at my gym. I am one of those people where if I pay for it, I will use it. I applaud you for getting second hand equipment and doing outdoor exercise. Those are awesome ways.

I used to live in a more rural area, where gyms really were few and far in between. So, I rode my bike and ran. It was awesome. However, my knees are shot to hell, so I use the eliptical most of the time. Going to try spinning really soon - as soon as I am sure I will not drop dead during it!

Why must we always be pressured to be very skinny or to lose weight quickly. Why??? Your body has just been through a massive change - give it time. I don't watch her show but did see her on Fashion Police and she does come across as pretty nice
and really loves her husband.
