Billie Joe Armstrong was not having any of it. Bille Joe stopped everything to give the performance of Green Day's career. Billie Joe busted into a hilarious freak out where he yelled at the organizers for disrespecting a dude who has been in the game for over 20 years. I kept waiting for someone to hand BJ a dirty martini and for him to lean against a grand piano and slur out shit like, "Your know what your problem is! You have some nerve! It's the pictures that got small! Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my -godfuckingdamnit, that guitar is looking at me funny. I'll show you, guitar!"
Billie Joe got so mad that I'm sure the hairs on his b-hole stood up like some of the hairs on his head. Bitch went off and I love every millisecond of this dramatic cunt meltdown from the first "fuck" that comes out of his mouth to the last one. I even loved that it almost took him 10 minutes to destroy his guitar. PUNK! ROCK! If that guitar had eyes, it would be rolling them. It was taking so long for BJ to put a dent in that guitar, so it finally took pity on him and broke itself.

In defense of Billie Joe's drunken rant, I must say that first of all, it is soooo much fodder for hollywood gossip stupidity. What really matters to me though is that there was a good percentage of the crowd that paid that came there specifically TO see Green Day. Most of the other a**holes that played music that night, you could easily listen to one of their songs, and "you get the idea". In fact most music these days from Britney, to Rihanna, to Lady Gaga, etc, etc, etc... It all sounds the same... BORING! But, Green Day, though one or two songs sound similar, have like 200 something songs which each one is distinct and not just vocals, whole band, whole unique sound. I mean, how pathetic is it, that you could actually close your eyes right now and hear the next usher or rihanna song in your head without it even being written yet. But, I'm sure all of Billie Joe's explicit "WTF- one more minute?" couldn't top how progressively explicit these artists must make their music, or we'll all stop buying. Most of their whole creative input into planet earth wouldn't be missing if we cut their whole career down to "one minute left". Green Day, however, has something to say/ play.

And btw, I didn't say any of these bands were doing anything fresh or original-- unfortch, most of them are just doing the same old schtick. Which, if it sells, fine. (Just look at KISS. Same songs since 1973- which is okay, bc only the KISS Army cares.) Just to be around today is an accomplishment. And yeah, you might not like Green Day or any of the other bands, but hey, you know their songs, and when you hear then on the radio, you know who it is, even twenty years later.

Anyways: making music that long is a hell of a work, one has to write about something and how should you when you live your life in a cottonball because you're a star. So I understand when bands break up or break up only to have a big reunion comeback some years later. In fact I like that better than RHCP who are making the same shallow shit over and over.
and a lot more - still rocking, most of them still cool, Green Day weren't even cool back then - my friends laughed at me when I bought the album.
When trolls or even a certain "feminist" makes a comment, nothing makes them happier or gives them a greater voice/platform then when they get (on average) at least 3-5 responses to their 1 comment. M made (I think) made 1 comment, but received 10+ responses. Even when she doesn't comment someone mentions her.
I never read her comments UNLESS someone copies and paste her comment and then responds to it. She makes SOME good points, but she is so extreme that I stopped paying attention to her a long time ago.
