Linda Hogan Got A DUI

Nick Hogan's dumbassery behind the wheel left a man with permanent brain damage, so you'd think that Linda Hogan would know that speeding after taking antibiotics with a champagne chaser isn't a good idea. But well, extreme exposure to UV rays from a tanning bed caused Linda's brain to melt and drip out of her ears, so she sucks at making good decisions. TMZ says that Linda was pulled over in Malibu yesterday for speeding and after she blew an 0.084 (0.08 is the legal limit in CA), she was arrested. This is Linda's mug shot of glamour and those matchstick brows are as tragic as that halter top from Rainbow.

53-year-old Linda sat in a cell for a few hours before she was released on $5,000 bail. Linda's rep (yeah, she has one of those) says that she only had one glass of champagne, but since she's on antibiotics and didn't eat anything, it made her hazier than usual if you can imagine that.

Linda's rep should've just kept it simple and said, "Stupid scrag is a Hogan. What do you expect?"

This week, the Hogans really are reminding us that the Lohans are amateurs, because they're America's first family of trash, always and forever. First, Hulk Hogan made my b-hole poot out a question mark by waving his Hickory Farms dick around in a sex tape. Then Linda Hogan's dumb ass goes and does this. What's next? Brooke Hogan is going to put out another album? Oh shit. I shouldn't have said thing. I think I've awoken the beast of Castle Grayskull.

I was going to post the same thing when I read it. Antibiotics don't make you get drunk faster nor do they make your blood alcohol content higher.

There's one class of ABs that a small percentage of people can get sick drinking with them, (nausea and low BP), but none make you speed and drive like a lunatic after one glass of wine. The bad driving, selfishness and sheer stupidity is a Hogan thing, not a pharmacological thing.

mahaatma, you go to the drunk tank no matter what, and either someone bails you out, or you see the judge in the morning (if it isn't a friday because Judges arent there till Monday, unless its a 3 day weekend, then not till Tuesday), pay a fine, and then the whole DUI paperwork hell begins.
In California, you will pay for the Officers time, an obscene amount of fines because you were stupid, attend AA classes/alcohol treatment and should have your license at the very least restricted. MADD is very powerful here.

Unless of course, your name is Lohan.

The asshole was laughing when arrested and the tow truck driver was trying to help him not get arrested. My car was facing the highway, but a guy was trying to help HIM. Hope her new lawyer sucks.

Please understand that I am NOT defending DUI or this woman. But .084 isn't drunk; it's barely over the line of what the anti-alcohol lobby led by MADD has decided is "legally impaired" while driving.

.084 is, however, more than one drink. As I understand it, for most women, two drinks within about a 90-minute period will put you just over .08, which is what .084 is. Men burn off about one drink an hour; women burn off one drink in 75 to 90 minutes. Two drinks in the same period would give a woman a fairly elevated BAC, although she might feel only a slight buzz. (I got this information from our state's MADD president and other representatives during an editorial board meeting, but can't vouch for its accuracy any further than that.)

This isn't about being drunk. It's about legal impairment with regard to operating a motor vehicle. Still a stupid thing to do, and it's one that most people who drink *at all* have done plenty of times, because they don't feel drunk at .08 … because they're not. That's why it's important not to refer to DUI as "drunk driving" — because too many people think, "I'm not drunk, so I'm good to go," even when they are, in fact, impaired.

I'm surprised her BAC was that low. She looks pretty buzzed.
