The Girl Who Got 30 Days In The Clink For Flipping A Judge Off Is FREEEEEE!
18-year-old Penelope Soto from Miami learned earlier this week that the judge is always the head bitch of the court room and don't ever try to out bitch the head bitch because you will end up in a jail cell. Penelope was in court on Monday to answer to the charge of a possessing a bar of Xanax (break me off a piece of that bar) and Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat set her bail at $5,000, but raised it to $10,000 when she got cute and then jailed her for 30 days when she gave him the middle finger. But thankfully for Penelope, her gorgeous burgundy hair isn't going to fade, because she's been released from the clink and has reunited with her tube of Radiant Red Shampoo.
With her family next to her, Penelope cried out tears of sowwies in front of Judge Jorge today and apologized to him, the court and her family for flipping his ass off and not being respectful. WTSP says that Judge Jorge accepted her apology and then he looked her in the eye and quoted Wiz Khalifa when he said, "I tell a bitch bow down to a motherfucking G ho." Judge Jorge then dropped the contempt charges, released her from jail and wished her luck in completing a court ordered drug treatment program. All charges will be dropped once Penelope completes rehab.
And now this week's episode of When Keeping It Bitchy Goes Wrong has a happy ending. Now if only Penelope will apologize to my chola cousin for stealing her signature hair color. A color that she gets from mixing two different shades of Nice 'N Easy, thankyouverymuch.

Personally I am a bit more concerned that the obama administration has prepared a legal justification for killing american citizens extrajudicially (without trial) and in fact has already done so, but sure, Judges have too much power.
Having said that, since I have to control my behavior to avoid trouble, so should this young addict girl. Its not fair that a big drunk can beat me up, but that doesn't mean I go into a bar and start hassling big drunks.

We can't really claim that ours is a free country if we can get sent to jail for simply being an asshole, with DListers, of all people, cheering on.

Fluff, yes Xanax is addictive, super addictive and withdrawals can be deadly. Xanax can be a godsend since benzos are super-quick and effective for acute anxiety. But it is so easy to get addicted specifically to Xanax; withdrawal can cause seizures that can be deadly.

I also want to include GaGa on my commentary on the judicial system. WTF was that deposition? I'm actually a lawyer, and I can't believe that her team let her run her mouth. Answer the questions concisely and don't volunteer anything.
These "court" appearances by anyone really, amaze me. Over a decade ago, I was kind of fucked up and had to deal with some misdemeanors. At my court dates, I was perfectly groomed, wearing Brooks Brothers and properly lawyered up. And extremely respectful to my judge. I took what I deserved from the court, and I'm fine with that. It kills me that everyone from Lohan to this no name can now put on a show and escape consequences.

I was snowed in and watched daytime TV and caught Ricki Lake. She had a show about young females and issues with rudeness. I thought that was a brilliant show idea!!! from what I see, its rampant! O course she's a dipshit but at the end of the day with an overcrowded system that needs to keep dangerous people off the street it was probably the prudent thing to do. I want the people that beat the shit out of people and carry guns to be locked up. Considering the cost to lock people up do we really need to spend big bucks to keep a knuckle head locked up? I think maybe she should have gotten community service, sent out to help others or clean up something rather than do time with violent crazy people. She shouldn't have walked totally free anyway.

I agree that he should have left her ass in jail. This reminds me of something that happened to me a long time ago.
Back in the day (about 11 years ago) I was in court up in front of this judge who, I shit you not, was my area's version of Judge Judy. Bitch even looked like her. This is back when I was doing the bad shit (heroin) and did a bunch of bad shit to get money for it. Anyway, I had been on probation from this judge and had screwed up once. The word was this particular judge had a daughter who died from a heroin OD and she didn't play. After semi getting myself together, the judge miraculously gave me another chance but told me that if I violated again she "wouldn't put me in the jail she would put me UNDER the jail."
As scary as that was, I fucked up again and after sitting in county for 30 days, was waiting to go up in front of her for the second violation. Needless to say I was scared out of my mind.
I was standing on the side with my lawyer waiting when the guy in front of me didn't like the 24 months probation he got and told her to fuck off. She gave him 30 days and told him not to say "one more word' he said "I got two words FUCK YOU" and got more time. It went back and forth with him being dragged out by bailiffs and a lot of gavel banging and 18 months in county over his head.
I remember thinking "holy fucking shit, she was going to put me UNDER the jail and *that* was when she was in a good mood!" I was so relieved when she said (right after he was dragged out) "I need a break" and threw her gavel down and left the court-room. Another judge came in and took my case (which I didn't even realize was legal to do on a probation violation). Anyway, I ended up with a year and a day which ended up to be 5 months with good time and all. Ugh...
So glad to be responsible and on the right side of the law now. The bad shit might feel good but not as good as 10 years of freedom from it does.
